BBDFL Chairman- Personal Statement and Thank You.

As you know, I’ve taken the decision to stand down as Chairman, and my tenure will end on the 31st March 2019. I wish to spend more (quality) time with my family as well as having more time to devote to working with the fantastic people at Mossbank.

I’m extremely grateful to a great League Committee and great League members, for giving me the opportunity over the past four years to be League Secretary, and more recently League Chairman, of such an innovative and forward thinking grassroots football league.

It’s been a privilege to work within the League. I’ve met and become personal friends with many people over the years, all with the same aim of developing young people within grassroots football. So many individuals past and present, can be very proud of what has been created. It’s been a wonderful journey, working with great people and I hope I’ve added some value.

This League is a wonderful example of what volunteers can achieve, and I’m proud to have played a small part in that achievement. Long may it continue, as I’m sure it will.

I wish to extend a personal thank you to past and present Committee members whom I have worked with, and wish the very best of everything to all players, clubs, teams, coaches, referees, parents, helpers and everyone else connected with the BBDFL.

Thank you for your fantastic support over the years.

Warm regards.

Gary Russell
